Why review the contract before signing?

Your signature confirms the terms your working relationship will run on. Later it can be hard to recall what was promised in conversation or how an unclear sentence was meant. A preliminary review helps you place the contract text and earlier agreements side by side and write down your questions before deciding.

What does the review cover?

• the parties and the basic structure of the contract;
• the position and the description of duties;
• the place of work and possible remote work;
• working time, workload and the schedule;
• pay, variable pay and any referenced remuneration rules;
• the start, duration and probation wording;

Before you upload

Also add the documents the contract directly refers to, such as a job description or a pay annex. You may remove data not needed for the review, such as a personal ID code, bank account number or home address.

Scope

The result depends on the uploaded document and the information in it. Lepinguluup does not see oral promises, the employer's internal practice, or documents that were not uploaded. The report is an aid for understanding the contract and preparing questions, not a final legal assessment.
